Processing in the 4.0 environment

The production process

Each request is subjected to feasibility analysis by our technical office with a simulation program, able to establish critical issues and production costs, to decide the suitable plant for production, design the piece-gripping equipment and special tools necessary for the project. The machining program is processed through CAD-CAM software which, using the Wi-Fi connection of PCs and CNC machines to the internal company network, is directly transferred to the designated machine. The goal is to optimise all processing phases, respecting the required quality standards and ensuring fast and punctual deliveries. For this reason, GBM has developed a corporate digitalisation plan that responds to the logic of Industry 4.0. Through a customised management software and an automated tool warehouse which minimises the machines' set-up times, each order is sent to the production department and checked in real time until delivery.
